question
« on: January 12, 2012, 12:01:56 pm »
Hey guys have been away from chat for awhile and have been reading on the forums about the changes in yahoo. Any how my question is that i went to update to messy 11.5 yesterday and i was in chat got disconnected......keeping in mind im not flaming....... but i kept getting a message that kept popping like the old popcorn booters used to saying i was using an old version of messy but i had updated. Is this happening because im getting dc from chat or have i got something else weird happening?

In the login panel uncheck Auto-Connect and also as the reconnection went on numerous times, there's a chance that you're temporarily banned.

Auto-Reconnect is not working with Protocol Version YMSG 18 / 19 at the moment, the others are fine.

If you decide to use auto-reconnect. Set your auto-reconnect protocol version to 102. That will give you the best protection.

OR

You can set your Yahoo! Messenger ignore setting to "Ignore anyone who is not on your contact list". If you decide not to use auto-reconnect and rather use the default protocol used by Yahoo! Messenger 11.5 (YMSGv19).
