Yahoo! made a change awhile back and webcam's do not connect most of the time with YTK. It'll be addressed in the next build.

Also YMSGv102 of course doesn't provide webcam support.

I was about to post this as a fault but you seem to have addressed my problem.
One question however, is there a time scale on the fix please.

Ok I believe I have found a "Work Around".
 1.   First sign out of YIM.
 2.   Uncheck the Auto-Reconnect box.
 3.   Sign back into YIM.
I have tried this several times and found that with Auto-Reconnect enabled my webcam never connects, but with it unchecked it never fails to connect.
Hope this helps.

That's because YMSGv102 is the default auto-reconnect protocol. YMSGv102 does not allow use of webcams.
