Important information you'll want to know for Yahoo! Messenger 11 Beta + YTK Enhanced operation!

- First and foremost, Yahoo! Messenger 11 Beta is BUGGY! So, if it ends up becoming unstable for you, crashing, and/or doing weird things then rest assured this IS NOT a YTK issue that's causing this to occur. There are a number of bugs that Yahoo! Inc. will need to address and they probably are presently doing so considering the fact that this is their first beta release of Messenger 11, it's now already 4 months old, and they've yet to get a new build out (whether it's another beta or the final). This more than likely means that Yahoo! is fixing, or at least attempting to fix, the numerous bugs that've been experienced and reported by it's users.

- Gawd Mode (alias/profile id inactivation) & Auto-Gawd Mode do not work with YMSG version 18, the protocol version that Yahoo! Messenger natively uses. For now, if you'd like to use Gawd/Auto-Gawd Mode for improved boot protection then simply check YTK Enhanced to use Auto-Reconnect in the Messenger sign-in window, go to the control panel in the anti-boot section (spider image), and select a different protocol version than 18.

*For very solid boot protection at the moment I'd personally recommend configuring YTK Enhanced to restrict everything from chat users and unknown user groups (invites and PM's) as usual, enabling TCP voice with Voice Anti-Lag protection enabled, and using Auto-Reconnect with YMSG version 102 protocol with/without Auto-Gawd Mode enabled.*

- If you plan to use Yahoo! Messenger 11's Facebook Chat communication then you'll need to use YMSG version 18, as it won't work with any other protocol version currently. You can use Auto-Reconnect with YMSGv18 or you can uncheck Auto-Reconnect altogether and Messenger 11 will use YMSGv18 by default so you'll have access to private message your Facebook friends.

- The new Yahoo! Messenger 11 smileys (emoticons) haven't been added to YTK's extended emoticon window enhancement feature yet. We're waiting for Yahoo! to put out their final build before they're added in case they decide to change them in any way or add more (especially with this "face off" emoticon competition currently being held). These will be added when we know they've been finalized.

- If you are using Auto-Reconnect and you are disconnected (booted or just dropped from the chat server) your name will leave the room but Messenger and your chat window will stay open as if nothing happened. If you had voice in the chat room at the time then it will still be connected (but I wouldn't advise talking until you rejoin because you'll accumulate a bunch of ignores in the process). You'll also be able to keep your PC voice & video calls, conferences, PMs, webcam sessions, etc intact and active as if nothing happened.

You'll then see a message printed to your chat screen stating the following:

Quote
You have been disconnected and left the chat room! Please rejoin to continue chatting

In this situation, until auto-room rejoin is added or a new cloak mode/sticky exploit is found and implemented, you'll need to either:

1) Click the "Chat" button in the chat room window to rejoin the room by using YTK's Recent Rooms List item (for that room)

OR

2) Close the chat room window out yourself and join the room again with either Yahoo!'s own change rooms list or with YTK's Recent Rooms List (assuming you have the Recent Rooms List enabled in the control panel).

Option #1 is the quickest and makes the most sense, obviously, so enabling the Recent Rooms List window in YTK's control panel is your best bet. You can enable this feature by clicking on the 2nd gears image down from the top | "Chat Room Settings" tab ~> check Enable Recently Joined Rooms Window.
